About MICHELLE CHAPMAN

Michelle has been teaching dancing for over 20 years.

She began dancing as a young child in Victoria when she attended dance classes and participated in dance concerts, competitions and eisteddfods. When she moved to Canberra she joined a new dance school and continued classes, becoming a student teacher at age of 14. It was there that her love of teaching dance began and she chose to follow the teaching path rather than be a professional dancer herself.

She has teaching qualifications with the Federal Association of Teachers of Dancing (FATD) and she is an affiliate member of the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD).

Throughout the years, the best lessons have actually come from the experiences and opportunities of teaching itself. She has learnt so much from her students. Her love of dance and teaching ahs strengthened from her sssociations with them.
